CAMPAIGNS
SCINDeA conducts annual campaigns on issues of concern and relevance. The theme is decided by the members and staff of the SCINDeA Association at its Annual General Body meeting. Local NGOs, Networks, schools, colleges and Government institutions are invited to participate in the campaign. The campaign event includes a seminar in the morning, rally in t`he afternoon and a public meeting in the evening.
Campaign Objectives :
To initiate awareness among rural and tribal people regarding the theme.
To bring together people from different walks of life and provide an opportunity to interact on the issue of concern among themselves, with the public, government officials, press, media, church based institutions, social action groups and interested individuals.
To highlight the theme/issue by conducting rallies and public meetings which would attract the attention and sensitize the general public, policy makers and government
To evolve programmes/strategies to deal with the theme/issue.
Participants in the campaign include programme beneficiaries, staff of member NGOs, school and college students, local NGOs and Networks. A minimum of 5000 - 8000 people participate in the campaigns.
